Carmen is a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner with around seven years of experience in childcare, enough time to know what really matters in a good early year’s setting, and to have built the confidence to deliver it. She has a calm, steady presence that children respond well to, and a genuine interest in watching them develop their own sense of who they are. She joined Happy Feet ready to get stuck in, bringing solid experience and a real commitment to the children and the team around her. What keeps her motivated is the work itself, there’s nothing quite like watching a child figure something out or come out of their shell, and Carmen never takes that for granted. Outside of work, she’s happiest either with family and friends or somewhere with good scenery, the Lake District and Cornwall are firm favourites. She’s also someone who takes her own development seriously, and is looking forward to continuing to grow alongside the Happy Feet team.
